Military Spouses Can Go To College Too

College education is a very expensive thing and most people can only dream about getting a college degree. If you are in a marriage with a military husband or wife, and you have not earned your degree yet, then you are eligible for the Military Spouse Scholarship program. This college education initiative is just one of the numerous benefits received by loved ones and dependents of US Military personnel. Or put more aptly, one way of saying thanks for the services and sacrifices made by those who opted to join the US Army, Navy and Air Force.

The Military Spouse Scholarship is provided to the husband or wife of a US Military personnel who is either active in duty, retired, disabled, or deceased. The applicant for the said scholarship must provide proof of marriage with their spouses, such as certificate of marriage or a wedding picture, and must pass some academic tests before being approved.

The scholarship fund can reach as much as $10,000, depending on several factors. That said, such amount is more than substantial in getting a good college education from a reputable school. Another good thing about the scholarship is that it can also be used to fund the college education of military dependents and orphans.
